Massob Issues Warning To Ohaneze Ndigbo Making Demands From Buhari

A faction of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has warned the Igbo socio-political group, Ohaneze Ndigbo, and other groups agitating for positions for Igbo representation in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Daily Sun reports that the warning was contained in a statement made by Uchenna Madu, the national director of information of the factional MASSOB, on Wednesday, September 9.

RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR WIKE INSIST HE WON'T DECLARE HIS ASSETS PUBLICLY

Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike on Wednesday announced that he has declared his assets as required by the law.
Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Tariah, Wike said that declaring his assets publicly was not part of the dictates of the law; Punch reports. 

''The governor has declared his assets and this is exactly what he told newsmen during the tour of his administration’s projects.

42 YEARS OLD LECTURER RAPES ADMISSION SEEKER

The police on Thursday arraigned a part-time lecturer, Afeez Baruwa, for allegedly raping an 18-year-old admission seeker.

PUNCH Metro had reported on Thursday that Baruwa took the victim, who was seeking admission into the University of Lagos, Akoka, inside a study room, where he allegedly raped her.

BUHARI DIRECTS DEFENCE MINISTRY TO EMBARK ON PRODUCTION OF WEAPONS

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday directed the Ministry of Defence to produce a plan for the establishment of a military industrial complex for the local production of weapons for the use of the nation’s armed forces.

COURT SENTENCES 3 TO 91 YEARS IMPRISONMENT

Justice Ibrahim Mairiga of the Kebbi State High Court has convicted Suleiman Ibrahim Musa, Bilyaminu Usman and Lawal Suleiman on a 16-count charge bordering on conspiracy, forgery, theft and criminal breach of trust brought against them by the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and sentenced them to 91 years in prison.

The Ooni of Ife, Alayeluwa Oba Okunade Sijuwade is dead. He died today in London at the age of 85.
Oba Sijuwade was the fifth Ooni of Ife. He climbed unto the throne on December 6, 1980. As the Ooni of Ife, he presided over the Ife territory, in the South West Nigeria but his influence went far and beyond.

HUSBAND CUTS OFF WIFE’S HAND OVER ADULTERY ALLEGATION

Man, identified as Jacob Nwachukwu from Abala in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, has cut off his wife’s left hand over allegation of infidelity.

The man’s wife, Mrs Nwadiokeonu Nwachukwu, is now at a hospital in Aba, while her severed hand had been taken to her husband’s village at Abala for burial.
