HOUSEWIFE FINED N50,000 FOR MAKING LOVE WITH LOVER

A 29-year-old house wife, identified simply as Vero, has been accused of infidelity in Irri community, in the Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Her husband, identified as Ben, on Thursday told the elders of the community that he caught his wife in illicit love affair in an uncompleted building.

MAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING GIRLFRIEND’S WRAPPERS

The police have arrested a 25-year-old man, Ayuba Adamu, for allegedly stealing wrappers belonging to his girlfriend, Alhaja Hajarat Jamiliu.  The police said the Nigerien national also stole a cash sum of N10,000 from Jamiliu.  The incident happened on Market Street, Ebute-Meta area of Lagos State.

LEKKI BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT SUES POLICE, SEEKS N1M DAMAGES

A 20 year old suspect out of the four paraded by the police in connection with the March 12, 2015 robbery of the Lekki branch of First City Monument Bank, Ebi Tosan, has sued the police. Tosan is seeking N1m as damages.

He claimed that it was unlawful for the police to continue to keep him in detention without admitting him to bail.

RADIO BIAFRA ENGINEER ARRESTED IN ENUGU

A major accomplice of rogue broadcaster Radio Biafra, an engineer based in Enugu has been apprehended by the Department of State Security operatives.

The suspect was being transported to Abuja as at Press time of filling this report.
 It is believed that the Enugu-based accomplice assisted the main radio pirate in London by placing not so large equipment on abandoned NITEL transmission polls and a few transmitters owned by other mobile telecom providers.

The police in Kaduna State have banned social gatherings at recreation centres and parks during the Sallah celebration in the state.

The State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Umar Shehu, on Thursday added that places for fun seekers such as Gamji Gate Amusement Park and Galaxy Park, among others, would be closed down.

HUSBAND AND WIFE ARRESTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY

The police in Lagos have arrested a man who deals in men’s wear, Akeem Ariyo, for allegedly robbing a shop on Ariyo Street, in the Balogun Market area of Lagos.

It was learnt that the 35-year-old suspect was arrested along with his wife, Mosunmola, on July 14, 2015, but the wife was freed the following day.
